The Neon Plunge of Manila-2
Beneath the murky, copper-tinted surface of the flooded city, a secret world of forgotten technology waited. Kiko and his crew adjusted their salvaged oxygen masks, staring down into the drowned remnants of old Manila. Where ancient skyscrapers pierced the waterline like rusted daggers, the true prizes lay deep below.
With a final breath, Kiko dived into the liquid shadow. He kicked past old billboards, heading toward a half-buried research facility wrapped in toxic, emerald-green kelp. Activating his underwater torch, a beam of electric-blue light cut through the gloom. There, half-buried in the silt, a golden cybernetic arm gleamed with faint, pulsing violet circuitry. Kiko carefully unhooked the prize, his heart pounding. Up on their makeshift plastic raft, his friends waited to haul up the glowing treasure—a piece of the past that promised a warmer, brighter tomorrow.
