Lullaby of the Tulip

Lullaby of the Tulip

In a garden kissed by the soft glow of twilight, a tiny, emerald-green caterpillar named Pip snuggled deep within the velvety folds of a brilliant scarlet tulip. The petals, unfurling like a comforting blanket, were a rich, warm red, making a perfect bed for his afternoon nap. Below him, two lush, jade-green leaves cradled the flower stem, rustling ever so gently in a whispered breeze.

Standing tall and silent beside the blooms was an ancient Victorian lantern, its ornate black metal shimmering faintly. Though unlit for now, Pip often imagined the soft, golden-orange glow that would spill from its amber glass at dusk, painting dancing shadows on the ground. For now, the world was a palette of deep greens and reds, and Pip, dreaming of sweet nectar, slept soundly, a tiny, contented curve on his vibrant floral mattress.
