Pip the Pebble Nestler

Pip the Pebble Nestler

Pip the Pebble Nestler

Pip was a very small Protoceratops, even for a baby. His frill was just starting to sprout, like a tiny fan, and his little beak was still soft. One sunny morning, while his mother foraged for tasty ferns, Pip wandered off. He wasn't trying to be naughty, but everything in the sandy landscape seemed so interesting!

He tumbled and waddled, his short legs carrying him further than he realised. Soon, Pip found himself in a little dip in the sand, surrounded by smooth, round rocks. An idea sparked in his tiny dinosaur brain. He started nudging the rocks with his nose and pushing them with his feet. Slowly but surely, he created a cozy little basket made of rocks. It was just the right size for a small, tired Protoceratops.

With a happy sigh, Pip nestled down into his rocky creation. The sun was warm on his back, and the smooth stones felt comforting. From his unique little bed, he watched the buzzing insects and the scuttling lizards. He felt safe and snug in his self-made pebble nest, waiting for his mother's familiar call. It wasn't long before he heard her gentle "Roo-roo!" and Pip chirped back happily, knowing he had a wonderful story to tell about his adventure and the special rock basket he had built.
