The Investigator’s Ink
To capture the mystery of Clover Street, use a palette that highlights the eerie absence of darkness.
- Daisy’s Gear: Colour her iconic trench coat a classic tan or muted beige, making her stand out against the landscape. Give her spectacles a bright tortoiseshell frame and her magnifying glass a gleaming silver rim.
- The Environment: Use a vivid, saturated grass green and a brilliant sky blue to make the scene feel unnaturally bright. Without shadows to provide depth, the world should look almost "too" sunny.
- The Clues: Use a misty, charcoal grey or soft lavender-grey for the trail of dust. This subtle, ghostly colour should represent the missing shadows, looking like a faded memory of the darkness that used to be there.
