Nothy's Riverside Vigil
In the ancient, sun-baked canyons, where towering rust-coloured cliffs touched the endless azure sky, lived Nothy, a gentle Nothronychus. Her skin was a mosaic of earthy greens and soft ochres, blending perfectly with the rugged landscape. She had long, graceful claws, but they were used for tenderly shifting her precious nest, not for battle.
Nothy's nest, woven from sturdy river reeds, sat nestled beside a sparkling, emerald stream. The water, clear as polished crystal, burbled playfully over smooth, grey-blue rocks, creating a soothing lullaby. Her large, intelligent eyes, the colour of warm amber, watched over the speckled, pale jade eggs within the nest. Each one held the promise of a tiny, new life. The air was filled with the sweet scent of prehistoric ferns and the gentle gurgle of the stream, a peaceful haven for a mother's watchful love.
