The Guardian of Dreams
Princess Lily loved her quiet life in the castle, but secretly she longed for adventure. One sunny afternoon, while exploring the forgotten corners of the royal garden, she stumbled upon a peculiar, shimmering pot hidden beneath a tangle of roses. It pulsed with a soft, magical glow.
Curiosity piqued, Lily gently touched the pot. With a puff of purple smoke and a gentle roar, a magnificent, friendly dragon emerged! Its scales sparkled like emeralds, and its eyes twinkled with warmth. The dragon stretched its long neck, unfurling vast, leathery wings.
"Hello, Princess," the dragon rumbled, its voice like warm honey. "I am Smoulder, a guardian of dreams, and I have been waiting for you."
Lily, though surprised, felt no fear. She spent the afternoon telling Smoulder about her dreams of exploring the world beyond the castle walls. Smoulder listened intently, his head tilted.
As the sun began to set, casting long shadows over the cascading layers of rocks that surrounded the garden, Smoulder offered, "If you wish, Princess, I can show you the wonders of this land. But only if you promise to keep your heart open to the magic around you."
With a joyous laugh, Lily agreed, knowing her life was about to become much more exciting with her new, magical friend.
